Project Linus

Make this fun and easy quilt top in less than an hour. There are no curved seams and the blocks can be done in 10 minutes or less.

Learn how to make this quilt and you can re-create it in any size using the same technique. Come and join us as we celebrate the birthday of Linus Van Pelt the inspiration for Project Linus.

Supplies Needed:
We will have materials to complete the quilt top at Above and Beyond for pick-up if you tell us by Wednesday. Email

 You can use your own, and if you do, here is what you need:

16  squares 8 1/2"  each; you can use an assortment of scraps and colors;
for best results try to have a combination of 8 dark/medium and 8 light
4 additional squares 8 1/2" each; these 4 should offer contrast to the 16 squares above
12" by width of fabric for border fabric
Optional: embroidery machine; 4 fussy cut squares about 8 1/4 inches.

Join us from 10AM - 12PM for a Sew-In as we work on quilts for Westchester-Rockland Project Linus. Quilts will be donated to children in Rockland County undergoing stressful times in their lives - whether in local hospitals, shelters or special programs.  Project Linus is an all volunteer organization that donates handmade blankets to children in need. There is no charge for this event, and directions will be provided.
